Why I’m Here

Becoming a mama has transformed me. Every day I’m transforming. Writing has always been how I make sense of myself and the world. I write to know what I think and believe and ultimately, who I am. So of course I’ve turned to writing to ground my experience as a new mama.

So many of my role models when it comes to both magic and personal development are single and self-employed. Their time is much more their own than mine is right now. I want to explore how I can live in alignment and flow and keep a tiny human alive at the same time.

I believe that the two most powerful words in the English language are “me too!” I hope that by sharing my experiences I’ll attract other like-minded mamas so that together we can all feel less alone.

Because I miss blogging. I had a lifestyle blog for years and then I got sucked into the world of sales funnels and building six-figure businesses and my writing got very convoluted and same-y. I miss sharing in a way that is raw and unpolished and real without trying to sell or teach you anything.

I could write a big fat “ME TOO!” for all 4 of your points above (apart from the 6-figure business)… I totally agreed with everything you said. I will be following your blog with interest and excitement, as most of my role models are also not parents, and I’m intrigued to know how I can bring up a little person while focusing on my business and being ‘me’. Thank you for this beautiful post 🙂

I probably phrased that poorly as I didn’t actually get to the 6-figure stage – just got sucked into all of the advice of that ilk. I’m so excited you’ve found my blog. It sounds like we have so much in common! xo

Ha, I totally know what you mean about getting sucked in by all that kind of advice! It’s a very strong pull. I absolutely agree with your comments above 🙂 and I can’t wait to read more of your stuff. Keep it up! Claire <3
